Unida are reasonably well known in the stoner rock world; the Kyuss vocalist John Garcia was involved as was bassist Scott Reeder (although not on this record). The style is hard and heavy with Garcia's excellent vocals piercing through the catchy riffs.

I mean it is Classic Stoner Rock, we all know what it sounds like (or if you don't it is fuzzy and thick and great). It is a real shame that these guys were never picked up by a major label; QOTSA managed it and these guys would have fitted right in with that ascendency. They had a follow up which was apparently released on CD-R that I've never heard. They had a split release with Swedish band Dozer I heard once, the tune Red stuck in my head for all this time. And... that seemed to be it. Lady Luck didn't smile on them. The band members went on to other things in the fullness of time but this release was special. Even the classic rock throwbacks like Black Woman wtih one of my favourite guitar leads and straightforward chugging are great.

No-one will ever read this. I don't care. I love this CD.
